I didn't know that was a rule about Hawaii's 13 games. I kind of thought something might be up on a Fiscal front to have them play 13, but wasn't sure.
I am not sure about the D1-AA rule either, I thought it might be that only one win Per year can count toward your bowl eligibility, not one win every 2-3 years. If the latter is the case, that could change the situation with so many 6-6 teams out there. Then again, scheduling up D1-AA teams only came into vogue recently and is more than likely due to wanting an easy chalk up in the W column in the race for eligibility (App State notwithstanding).

Yeah, I do know that you're not allowed to count a 1AA win every year for bowl eligibility. I heard them talking on the radio about some big ten team or something that was struggling to get eligible this year since they used their 1AA exception to become eligible last year. Not sure who they were talking about though.
