Wow, this is a STRONG move.

I wanted them to make this move but didn't think they had the cahones to actually do it.

Good luck to GB in his future endeavours.

Calling out the fans the way he did must have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

Do you think that gold would be struck twice via GVSU?
Larry Kehres is fimly entrenched at Mount Union. He's not going anywhere at his age.

Well, I wish the best for Coach Brandon in the future. I do truly believe that he is the best offensive mind in the country and that Urban Meyer has Brandon to thank for all the offensive scheming success at Utah and Florida. With that in mind, I imagine that it's just a matter of time until a big time coach comes calling for Brandon to be an offensive coordinator at a big school ... Tennessee under Lane Kiffin for example?

I think Brandon could go as close as 124 miles South...

I feel for his family, especially in a tough economic time. But, it was the right move.

I actually think Brandon could have saved his job if he just apologized for his post-game comments last week.

I think it's ignorant as hell to say Brandon is responsible for Meyer's success. After all once Meyer's guys were gone, Brandon didn't do much, while Meyer has killed it everywhere he's been since and could very well win his second NC in two years.

I'm just not sure of how I feel about this yet. This season, like 2005, was extremely disappointing, no doubt. Both seasons were should have done much better than we did and fell way short of expectations. But despite the losses to EMU & Miami, we were a fourth-quarter collapse away to Buffalo from the MAC East title, a MAC Championship appearance and a bowl game. Obviously, we have our work cut out for us now to find a replacement. We lose some key players from this year's team too. All we can do now is put our hopes in the hands of Greg Christopher and hope he hires a person as equal of a caliber as he has in men’s hoops with Louis Orr.
GO BG!!!

Interesting that you donated another $25,000 to BGSU. I say intersesting because I just received the end of the year report from the Foundation outlining all donations. The funny thing is that you weren't in there, at least at the $25,000 level. You are nothing more than a blow hard. You have not given at that level and probably have barely given anything. And you definitely didn't give any money to Greg Cristopher this week. Stop lying. I'm not impressed you blowhard!

A couple things....

He was let go.

He may be a good offensive mind, but if you compare his trajectory with Meyer's over the past six years, uh, well, its clear who the mastermind is.

And, I don't think apologizing for the comments would have made a difference. That was certainly a contributing factor, but if you want one single thing that would have saved his job, try an onside kick recovery.

I don't think he's a terrible coach. And, I'm surprised at the move. And I wish Coach Brandon well.

I think I’m most surprised he was let got with three years remaining on his extended contract (through 2011). I have no idea how it was structured or what clauses it consisted of, but I’m stunned this happened at BG. My thoughts would have been: with one year remaining, maybe. Two years remaining, not likely. Three years remaining, no way. I didn’t really see this one coming at all.

Funny...looking at the report, there are only about 8 people who gave plus 25,000 last year and I personally know more than half of them and they don't post on this site. Further more, if you have given what you say you've given for the past eight years, you'd be in extremely elight company and I don't think so. Not impressed by your exaggerations. Tell us all your real name...you are so proud of your donations as you've dropped that into so many many posts. Prove me wrong but you won't because you are a liar.
