DJ Durkin for Head Coach! The guy is the young up & coming that some of you have mentioned. He's got enough passion to motivate every coach, player and fan!

This is probably a long shot but what about the DC at Baylor?

OU is a model for our future? I don't think so.

We don't need a washed up BCS coach. And I certainly hope we don't hire someone based on "name." Just ask Notre Dame how that has worked out.

It has nothing to do with "modeling BG's future after Ohio U."...it's simply an example of how another (perhaps less prestigious) program in the MAC was able to get a "BCS Coach"...I never said that is what BG should do, I'm just providing factual information that can be relevant to the situation...

I don't have the answer to who should be the next HC, but I won't rule out anybody at this point, either...

Few more for you to chew on:
From OSU- Tavor Johnson and Luke Fickell

Illinois- Mike Locksley

Louisville- Ron English

Cincinnati- Kerry Coombs (I think he's still there. He built the Colerain machine before going to college with his son)

Iowa- Erik Soup Campbell

Wisky- Paul Chryst

Notre Dame- Corwin Brown, Jon. Tenuta or Mike Haywood

I've lost count, have we now mentioned 25% of all position coaches in the nation?

Nevermind who for now. How much are we going to pay? And how else do we make this job appealing now that we are facing losses in grants, thanks to the outgoing coaching staff? Certainly, the physical assets and talent left on the team may be a bit better than it was when we had to hire Urban.

Lets get a collective coaching staff from all AZZ members...

I'd love to see Willingham, he loves the college game and is on his way out of Washington. He recruits very well (remember the games Weiss did win were with Ty's players).

It'd be worth an interview. I think HC at a MAC school is more appealing than a position coach in a BCS school.

I dont know much about the other names on here. But when Christopher brought in Orr that was a good move, so i have confidence in whoever he brings in. But i agree with those who said lets not get a big name to get a big name, but hire who is best for the job.

Ty Willingham? Are you serious? He's been terrible or mediocre everywhere he's been. Do you realize he's 0-11 this year at Washignton? Do you realize he's 76-87-1 for his career?

I just don't get why people fawn over some BCS retread and think he'd be a good hire for BG...or any MAC school for that matter? I guess people have the star f'er effect for some supposedly "name" coaches.
