Best alltime player at every current MAC school

Bowling Green Student and a Toledo student are drunk one night and decide to take a leak off the I-280 bridge. TU student says "man! this water's cold!" and the BG student replies "Yeah! Its deep too!"

The Toledo fan, an ex-Rocky, then proceeds to fall off the bridge and has to swim for three miles to save himself.

I remember the first time I saw the news video of that on YouTube. Classic. Stupid move to end up in the situation, but still have to give the guy respect for making the swim.

Remember the square shoulders on that guy? He did not look like a player but he was very deceiving. He helped ruined our NCAA Tournament chances when we were on top of the conference the last week of the season.

Remember the square shoulders on that guy? He did not look like a player but he was very deceiving. He helped ruined our NCAA Tournament chances when we were on top of the conference the last week of the season.

Dan Palambizio lit it up for Ball State while Ron Harper was at Miami. Ben Poquette and Danny Roundfield were awful good for CMU. There was a pair of frowards at kent in the mid 70's named Trent Grooms and Burrell McGhee who werepossibly the best forward tandem in the league in their day

I forgot to mention CMU's James McElroy...he was a very good guard for the chips.

There was a LOT of talent int eh MAC in the mid 70's

Rayhorn was great. For comparison, Rayhorn was selected in the 7th round. Lux would've gone in the 2nd round at the latest if not for blowing out his knee before the draft.

Burrell McGhee who werepossibly the best forward tandem in the league in their day

A few years after he ended his career at KEnt, McGhee, a city bus driver in ...Akron?...was shot to death by a rider on his bus, I think. Can't find anything on it and my memories a little fuzzy. In those days Kent was THE patsy in the league in hoops. McGhee was pretty good, though.

If Brian Moten played more his freshman and sophomore year i am sure he would be one of the best to come through BG, he is the best shooter BG has ever had

Yeah, it does. It's a direct reflection of their talent as a collegian. I would agree, though, that what a player actually did in a pro league has no bearing.

Wrong! It's a reflection of their perceived ability as a professional. I can give you plenty of examples of great college players that never got drafted high (or at all) and never made it in the pros.

I'll take Brian Tolbert or Derrick Dials over both Thomas brothers any day of the week.

Doh! Dials and Tolbert slipped my mind. You know, Thomas played int the NBA, but I think it was Carl, not Charles.

Through the years, EMU has had as much talent as any MAC school.

Derrick Dials played in the NBA for a few seasons, San Antonio and New Jersey I think. They had a JC transfer on that sweet 16 team also, Kennedy was his last name. He was a stud! Brian Tolbert was a flat out shooter! I attended EMU when Boykins, Tolbert, Dials, Theron Wilson, and that crew went threw Ypsilanti. Good times!!!
