Wrong...it's a Van Dyke. A goatee is on the chin only with no moustache.

Damn straight...I shaved my Van Dyke off because I got sick of telling people that it isn't a fu**ing goatee...it's a Van dyke...goatees are what the beatniks had and just as sure as Allen Ginsberg wants to sex up your nephew (cf Ginsberg and NAMBLA) I'm no fu**ing beatnik..

So far as coaching goes...give me Beckman or English or I'll never donate my 250,000,000,000 dollars...EVER!!!

If we're hiring coaches on their facial hair i want Magnum P.I. as offensive coordinator.

As far a 'staches go...that one is pretty bad azz.

Spack is even worse than Tiller.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Even though I knew the proper name, I always referred to a Van Dyke as "the ubiquitous Hootie beard." No one rocking the "bagel beard" really liked hearing that, but that's what they get for taking their fashion cues from Blowfish and MLB relief pitchers of the late 90s.

Hey, if this new coach can grab a face mask and shake, bring him on! I'll ask this because I'm ignorant: does it behoove us in any way to get a coach and staff in place before UT, MU and EMU? Or is there so little going on the next month or so it doesn't really matter?

Go BG!

One of the worst names I've ever heard. It sounds like the medical term for a "total body dry heave". :)

The more I read and hear the less I am impressed with him. Please GC, we can do MUCH better. :(

This would be an interesting hire, if it were to happen; I forgot that Tiller is through at Purdue...today's PD mentioned the new guy whom I've never heard of and his hiring of a new Off. coord., line coach etc.

So it's certainly possible that this guy would become available, unless he's retained by the new HC.

FWIW, I don't think that Gregg Brandon will be unemployed for long either, with all the coaching openings + assts. jobs that will come too.

I overheard last evening when I was talking to my friend in Perrysburg that the new HC at Purdue did not retain Spack. The sports anchor was talking about this may be the next HC because other members of Purdue staff was retained. I tried to find a link on NBC 24 website from what I heard on the newscast but it doesn't appear they stream their newscasts like the other stations.

I am a Purdue student, one of my best friends is a manager for the football team and I grew up in West Lafayette my whole life (22yrs). How can I put this nicely? Brock Spack SUCKS! Our D is awful and always has been under Spack! If BG hires him I really don't think I could stand to watch.

We wouldn't be hiring him to be the D coordinator.

Make it out in the amount of $38.10 and they'll send you a t-shirt. :-D

Thank God, because he didn't coordinate anything while he was at Purdue. Even in Tiller's best years it was just Brees or Orton outscoring the other teams with 50 passes a game. BG is in for it bad if they get Spack, there is a reason he's getting let go from my beloved (4-8) school.
