I still don't understand why people keep quoting the 31-17 MAC record. That's like bragging about winning a spelling contest against a group of 5-year olds.

Besides, that 31-17 record delivered as many league titles as an 0-48 record.

It's probably not that bad. But conversely, his record against teams with losing records probably wasn't as good as it should have been either.
