I hope that's not the case. If it is, I will have lost every bit of respect I've had for GC. If we were to have received a bowl bid, the proper move would be to appoint someone as interim head coach and prepare the team - it's great practice for next season and often can be good recruiting.

Appoint whom? You wouldn't have GB come back one last time, even if he could. Two of the staff have already been tapped for UT. The rest are wondering if they can rent their homes out since they can't sell in this market. The old staff couldn't seem to keep things together to save their jobs, why are we going to send the team to the slaughter. Hell, I've yet to read much of any regret by the team that the staff is gone. I think they may be almost as happy as some of the rest of us to see a change.

Again, bowl games are not always worth going too.

Rice was on that Falcon Radio thing advertised in a topic here somewhere and they asked him what he thought of the firing/changes.

From what I remember, he said something along the lines of himself being worried about losing the staff(specifically asst. coaches) that he had gotten used to at BG. He didn't mention GB directly even though the question was primarily about the firing, however I'm not going to put words in his mouth. The whole consensus of the team was said to be primarily "shock".

They also wanted the team that beat Ohio 28-3 and Toledo 38-10. They weren't concerned over the loss to Eastern (Central gave up over 50 points to them and lost to them like we did)
They wanted a 3.5 game team? Sure. That's makes sense. :smt017

You're attempted logic in supporting "your guy" is getting stranger.

Therein lies your problem RUIT, you're trying to equate cowboyjoe's arguments to "logic". I believe it was Jacobs4Heisman who said a few years ago that cowboyjoe is immune to all forms of logic.

If you read his posts with that in mind they make far more sense.

You should try the drinking game. Every time he tries to make sense, you take a shot. When he actually makes sense, call a cab and go home. ;-)

If we had only forced Boise to punt 8 times instead of 7 times in the 2nd half, we would be playing in the Fiesta Bowl.
