Uh, don't look now but you're one of the small guys. BG isn't exactly a huge football school, teke.
But at least it's bigger than Toledo. :-D
Yeah, but you 've got Teke. We don't. ;-)
CURSE YOU H2O!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x

Gimme Boise State in ANY BCS Game. To me, I don't care what conference Boise State plays, they have achieved a hell of a lot and is a growing powerhouse in college football. They outplayed OK two years ago...and it was a great game. This team can play with anyone, anywhere, anytime for one game. IMO, they would be the 2nd best team in the PAC 10 this year. Boise State derserves top respect.

OTOH, as others have noted, NOBODY travels like OSU...nobody. I cannot deny the mass number of fans they have and any bowl salivates with the thought of the Buck$ in their bowl and tens of thousands of fans ready to spend those Buck$. OSU had a pretty solid year...but not spectacular for a team with 20 returning starters.

It should be Boise State but I don't think it will.

Boise State suffers the fate of being the ONLY 1-A undefeated team in 2008, and NOT going to a BCS bowl.

This might be the single biggest crock of s**t the BCS has cooked up in the 11 years its been around.

Why Boise deserves to get the knod? Simple. Lets play the seven degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Boise beat Oregon
Oregon beat Oregon State
Oregon State beat USC
USC beat Ohio State

Maybe. But somebody declares every year to be the biggest crook of fertile matter the BCS has ever come up with.

Only one game matters, that is the title game. The rest is window dressing.

Like I said before, Blame 4 loss VT and 2 loss Cincinnati. They may be conference champions, but they both play in shitty conferences.

OSU plays a better conference and are conference champs.

Nothing you can say.

Go ahead and use the excuse that someone already tried to make "ACC doesn't suck just because there is not a big difference from top to bottom in the conference".

That is a BS excuse. There isn't much difference from top to bottom in the ACC because there is only bad teams and worse teams in the ACC. They stole Boise's spot, not Ohio State.

Tek I agree that Ohio State is more deserving than Virginia Tech, probably Cincinnati as well. But definitely VT, they weren't even ranked I don't think heading into the conference championship. The whole ACC was mediocre this year, with a lot of teams that were just decent, nobody really outstanding.

Oh, and the ACC sucks azz in BCS games, they haven't won one in a bunch of years now. VT got lucky by drawing Cincy (oh by the way, yawn) but they'll probably still lose because they're mediocre. Boise has 0 losses and VT has 4, yet VT goes to the BCS? That cannot be explained, not for any reason.

On another note, Boise State vs Texas Christian should be a pretty good game, definitely the best non-BCS game on the board IMO.

The Big 10 is really not that good and the records this year are there to prove it.

One school... PSU had a significant win against another conference.

I may be proven wrong once we go through the Bowl Seaosn... but the Big 10 has little over the Big East or ACC, the Buckeyes just have a fan base that travels more... or for that matter is just larger than any other fan base in the country do to their alumni base.

They have little over them except for the fact that they are sending two teams to the BCS and none of those two teams have 4 losses, not even combined.

They don't have much else on them because the Big 10 hasn't played the ACC or Big East. I don't even know if they have any bow match ups against each other..I havent seen a bowl schedule to look for sure, but none stick out.

I was thinking about this the other night. One game sealed Boise's fate. If Texas would have beat Texas Tech, Texas would have been in the NC Game and Oklahoma would have been in the Fiesta Bowl. You are crazy to think that the Fiesta Bowl selection commitee wouldn't have been foaming at the mouth for the opportunity to put Oklahoma against Boise again. I sincerely believe that OSU would of been out of a BCS game if Oklahoma and Texas were switched. I think Boise would have been throttled, but I think they would have been there.

What do you all think?

No chance.
For the same reasons already mentioned Ohio State still would've been the selection. Ohio State and Oklahoma are two of the most decorated programs in history and if I'm not mistaken haven't played each other since the 70's. The Fiesta Bowl would've been all over a matchup between those two.

Agreed. If anything, they would have picked Boise to go against Texas if there was going to be any shot of Boise getting in over OSU. We have seen OSU and Texas twice in the last three years already. We have already seen Boise and OU. If tere was any chance for Boise, it would have been this year, with Texas as the match up. I hate repeats (same 2 teams in the same game in the last 2 years). I don't like playing Texas because we have been there and done that. I would rather be playing Alabama. Oh well.

The ACC has a weaker conference champion, no doubt, but there is no way the ACC as a conference is worse than that sh!t up in the Big ten. Why do we let Tekeini still post here? This is the only board I know where we continually let a troll like him around. Is it against the TOS to call him a ******? Cause if it is, I won't do it.

The ACC is absolutely worse than the Big Ten, that conference sends a three or four loss team to the BCS regularly. ACC is very even across the board, there's not a huge gap between the best team and the worst team which wouldn't be a bad thing if the best team was really good, but the top teams in the ACC are very average hence the ACC being 1-9 in BCS bowls all-time and never being deep enough to send an at-large team to the BCS.

Yeah Hawaii got blownout, but they are not the only ones.
I agree Hawaii s not the only ones to get blown out. Utah will be the next one to get blown out. They barely beat Michigan and we all know where Michigan is going to be during this holiday/bowl season.
Yep, Utah sure got blown out tonight by Bama.

31-17 baby...Utah is the ONLY undefeated team in the country. They came into this game #6...and beat Oregon State, TCU, BYU and Alabama. Utah proved they can play and beat anyone tonight.

Way to win one for the non BCS again!
