New Radio Network Flagship

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

(I cross posted this... but it's more relevant to hoops right now)

Cal Bowers just called to let me know that they've just secured 103.7 - WCKY out of Findlay as the new flagship station for the Falcon Radio Network. He says they'll have hoops on the radio this weekend!! I guess there's a very strong signal, it can be picked up ALL OVER NW Ohio and beyond.

Details to follow, but it sounds like a great step in the right direction for the radio network! It's been so frustrating to try and grab a post-game show on the drive home and lose the signal before the show is done! Sounds like that won't be the case anymore!

About freaking time. I've never listened to 103.7, but if it actually comes in in BG I'm thrilled.

Cal said he gets a strong signal up in Sylvania, so, unless there's some electro-magnetic void around Bowling Green that abhors radio waves... I think we'll be good!

There is kind of a weird hot spot right near the fire station and polleyes that messes with my cd player every time I drive by...

That's probably the leftover radioactive coal dust from the old steam plant.

103.7 WCKY is a great country station that I listen to a lot actually and has a very good signal that I've never had problems with getting. It's about freakin' time they found a station willing to be our flagship. :D

That would be the giant radio antenna on top of the Admin building.
