SS80,
I saw this one too, as I get emails from Scout on kids that BG has had some kind of contact with. Original thoughts (by Hambb?) said Nicely was looking at Akron, and that could be true, but I sure as HECK hope we don't lose this kid, especially to the "team up north".
BTW, I can't blame any of these kids for looking at other schools given the way things went down at BG...and if coach Phillips was recruiting NE Ohio, as I believe he was, it makes it even more important to hang on to quality kids.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
I don't know, but I wouldn't be a bit suprised if Coach Clawson has/had a face to face visit with him also while he was in the neighborhood!
Evidently the slUTs are worried about losing their "verbal" QB Boucher to OSU. Coach Clawson is an OFFENSIVE/QB coach. Coach Beckman is a defensive guy. Where would you go if you were a hs QB. I was told last week by a quality source that he was going to Akron, so evidently, he can't make up his mind, or just likes to visit places in northern Ohio in December!
factman, Toledo is taking two QB's this year. Devontae Payne and Micah Hyde are also in the mix. I would be surprised if OSU offers Boucher though. He will either get moved to another position or sit the bench his entire career there. I personally like the size and skills of Payne and Nicely the most.
Also, Matt Campbell had been recruiting Nicely for BG since Patrick was a sophomore. That is why he got offered by Toledo when Campbell switched and that is why he is on campus this weekend visiting Toledo.

Not so fast my "fri_ _ d"......Patrick was recruited by our QB coach, Mr. Hofher, who at this point in time is still listed as such. May the best team win.
According to Rivals, Coach Clawson was the lead recruiter for Middletown, Ohio 4 star DB D.J. Hunter while at Tennessee. Hunter had offers from every school in the region, including Ohio State.
I was prepared for this...some recruits leaving because they *gasp* liked Gregg Brandon. I really hope that Coach Clawson (that has a GREAT ring to it!!!) is able to keep this kids excited about coming to Bowling Green. No rest for new hires...get to it Coach!!!

Nicely says otherwise. He says that Campbell has been recruiting him since he was a sophomore in high school, and that loyalty from Campbell is the only reason he is taking an official visit to Toledo because he says he has never been to Toledo and doesn't know anything about Toledo.
Personally, I think you have more to worry about Akron taking Nicely than UT. I got a feeling Payne might be headed to Toledo instead if Nicely goes to Akron like I think he is leaning right now.
If we lose Nicely, then we lose him. No big deal. I've seen him play and didn't really come away impressed. Nicely = Sheehan. He has talent, but he's nothing special.
