"I haven't even met this coach," Nicely said. "The one thing that made me mad is they told me they'd call me as soon as they got a new coach and they haven't called me since. I felt a little betrayed."

Get over yourself. Coach Clawson got here just a few days ago. Could you give him and his family 5 minutes to catch their breath.

So, we hired a coach on Friday and he has not called all the recruits by Monday yet?

Sounds like someone was looking for a reason to bolt.

He feels betrayed by not being contacted within 48 hours of a coaching hire? I guess it is all about Patrick.

That statement alone makes me glad he's not coming here. Doesn't sound like the kind of guy you want leading your team. Can he not give someone the benefit of the doubt before making a decision like that?

Oh well... plenty other fish in the sea.

I actually kinda hope he goes to toledo, so we'll have the chance at the end of each year to show him why he made a mistake mis-judging coach clawson.

Yea, my girlfriends little sister used to date him. After it ended i asked what happened, and her response "he's too into himself"

He's an 18 year old kid who has been told how great he is since he was 12, it's expected. Word around town is his dad is one of those "my son is gods gift to the world" and never put him in check.

I hope the best for him, like i said, he's a kid with his head a little on wrong.

Does anyone care to remember that we are talking about a 17/18 year old kid? Sure, it was a dumb statement to make, but we're not talking about a seasoned professional here. I'm surprised at the level of vitriol being expressed in this thread.

In the end, we should really just wish for him the best possible decision for him.

Those are my favorite kinds of people because the look on their faces and their body languages completely change when they realize they aren't that good when they get to college and that they actually have to work to be good.
