anyone going to the game 12/31 at Duquesne? I'll be there with a friend.
Hopefully for a win. Been to two away games so for and haven't seen a win. Hope that streak ends tomorrow.
Looks like it could be a tough one. But hopefully we are ready!

It should be a good game. The Palumbo Center is a nice areana to watch a game. Duquesne is a real athletic team.FMBfan07 wrote:anyone going to the game 12/31 at Duquesne? I'll be there with a friend.

This will be a good indicator of Coach Orr's ability to get his team to control the tempo and to take advantage of mis-matches. The Dukes are very young and very small. Their biggest contributor is 6'7" 210#. Offensively, we need our seniors and JAK to take care of the ball and pound the post and/or look for high % shots.

back to Bowling green from the game.
Biggest problem i saw today was rebounding and turn overs. We couldn't rebound at all and for a while we were practically passing to their players.
Honestly I'm surprised that we were ahead in the first with as many mistakes as we had.
Well it was still fun to travel and see the team play. But would nice to see a road win. Been a while since i have!

When it comes to the men's b-ball team, if we're playing away from AA, you can pretty much chalk it up as an L. Our one win in conference on the road last year came at then 3-19 Ball State. And even that one we struggled to win. This year we've pissed away leads left and right on the road, Savannah State, Central Arkansas, now Duquesne.FMBfan07 wrote:back to Bowling green from the game.

I'm starting to wonder if our guys are just too easily intimidated by opposing fans, or that they aren't mentally tough, because we commit more turnovers, shoot worse, don't defend as well (particularly in the 2nd half), and generally play much worse away from home. And don't even get me started on free throws.
There's still time for Orr and company to turn this into a very successful year, as the talent is better now than its been in years. But our ceiling is 9-7, maybe at best 10-6 in conference right now, and that's if we go 8-0 at home because we are so terrible on the road.
