No votes at all?

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Look, I know we've talked about this before but this team deserves to at least get some votes for the Top 25. After everything the program has accomplished the last decade, you would think 10-2 would be getting some votes.

This "proving ourselves" every season is getting old. South Dakota State is ranked. I'm sorry but we should be getting a few votes by now.

I agree Freak, but have seen who SDS (12-1) has played and beaten this year?

Missouri (7-4), Wisconsin (12-2), Montana (11-3), Minnesota (9-4) and Gonzaga (11-4). They also beat VALPO (a team we lost to) by 16. They also took out bigger conference opponents in Oregon, Illinois and Utah.

Their only loss was to #16 Maryland (11-2) by 12.

Kent State is also over-shadowing us this year. Something which will be rectified fairly soon I'm sure. As another poster alluded to somewhere else, its a damn shame we don't have Whit around to drop 14 or so treys on them and leave no reasonable doubt.
Yeah right girl!

Wow...just looked up SDS's stats and they have been very impressive...THIS year. BG has done this for 5 years now...and should be getting votes by now.

I understand your frustration Freak, believe me I know. It sad that our 5 year program performance doesn't help us out as much as it should but its seems to be the way it is right now. When we haven't taken out any team yet of note with really good records we continue to fly under the radar. That stat line for SDS is very impressive with who've they've beaten. Teams with name recognition and very good records helps your cause greatly. We just have yet to get that real big signature win this year. It was going to be hard to get that anyway with our non-conference shed not being as glamorous as years past. With the schedule we have this year it will just take time for BG to get some votes. Sad? Yes, but reality.

I see the Jackrabbits are in one of those conferences that make no sense geographically. There are schools from Utah, South Dakota, Michigan and Indiana among others. Scheduling the travel can't be fun.
