Well no, not necessarily. But Texas fans think that football everywhere else is inferior.Ryan Autullo wrote:I need to make sure I'm reading this correctly. You're saying Ohio State fans don't think they're God's gift to football?cw08 wrote:Honestly, living in Texas and hearing these crybabies whine about not being in the title game, I hope OSU spanks the Horns. This coming from a Michigan fan.
Texas fans are like Ohio State except they think they're God's gift to football and worship Mack Brown, one of college football's more overrated coaches.
Lets go Utes and hook em horns
If Texas beats Ohio State they will have beaten 4 Top 25 teams, the same as Utah. I'm not saying Utah is the clear-cut #1 team in the country but to say they have no legitimate claim to the top spot is flat-out wrong.TexCat wrote: The Utah coach was already proclaiming "well, there's only one team in Div. I wish the Falcons better luck next season.

Texas has already beaten four top 25 teams. Tech, OU, Mizzou and Okie Jr.
But on the other hand, they had the weakest non con schedule of any of the teams in the argument.
Utah to me has a great argument, they didn't lose, they beat Bama by more than Florida did and they beat the team that beat USC.

Undefeated
Beat Alabama and TCU - both will likely finish in the top 10 (or very close)
Beat Oregon State - Oregon State beat USC, will finish in the top 25
Beat BYU - is a borderline top 25 team, but will likely finish 20-25
Beat a couple other decent teams, like Air Force and CSU.

I agree. Utah has a case...are they the best? Prolly not...but who knows what would happen if Utah played FL or OK instead? Utah is simply an oustanding team.BGSUfalcons wrote:Let's look at the schedule/results:TexCat wrote:

Yeah, this bowl season will shoot a hole in the "+1 system fans". Although they'd probably just put USC against FL/OK and tell Utah "they had their shot".bgsukid wrote:What about if they played USC?Falconfreak90 wrote:I agree. Utah has a case...are they the best? All that said, and they were a FG away from losing to a 3-9 Michigan team lol...BGSUfalcons wrote:Let's look at the schedule/results:TexCat wrote:

but for real, after watching them play against the Wolverines, I knew this Utah team was very good - did I think they'd beat Bama? No. Therefore, I take my hat off to the Utes!

Good point, Rollo. But I still want to see BG build a program that rivals Boise State, Utah and TCU.Rollo83 wrote:Let's just focus on winning thr MAC for once and then we can dream bigger.Falconfreak90 wrote:I am too. What if they did? Oregon State beat USC...why not? As good as the Trojans are, they are not unbeatable. Except it they're playing Slowhio State.bgsukid wrote:What about if they played USC?Falconfreak90 wrote:I agree. Utah has a case...are they the best?
