I was reading on the Florence Phantoms website, and it says that Omar has moved on to play for Tampa Bay.
He isn't on the Buc's or the Storm's rosters, and there is no Tampa Bay in the AIFA. So, I'm wondering if anybody has heard where he has landed.
What have I missed?
Anybody know where Omar is?

i spoke to my source after omars season ended last year and he said that omar was going to move up to the afl. however after seeing the afl cancel their season this year, i feel bad for both cole and omar. cole had established himself as a good arena player and omar was going to get his shot. the arena game is perfect for omars style of play and i think he would have lit it up this year.

I think that it goes without saying that Omar can light it up in arena football. Too bad the AFL is in its little funk right now.moneymaker02 wrote:i spoke to my source after omars season ended last year and he said that omar was going to move up to the afl. however after seeing the afl cancel their season this year, i feel bad for both cole and omar. cole had established himself as a good arena player and omar was going to get his shot. the arena game is perfect for omars style of play and i think he would have lit it up this year.

I just spoke with a representative of the Tampa Bay Storm who said the team spoke with Omar, but since the season was canceled didn't sign him. However, he believed coaches were fairly confident about Omar's abilities.
The source then said Omar may be looking into AF2 teams or possibly going back to the AIFA. He told me his agent came from a Tampa Bay coach who had spoken with Omar's agent.
