"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Live here? I can't even remember the last time I was on.
And for arrests, coaches assaulting players, players assaulting coaches, drug use, ex-players with bad wigs escaping armed robberies on bicycles, ex-players in possession of stolen guns, public indecency, credit card fraud and general mayhem you could just stay here- now if you are looking for point-shaving, well.. yeah, then you gotta come over.

Those criticizing Darryl Clements for leaving the game versus Fordham were either not at the event or missed the real action. Clements left the game after he was shoved, pushed, and, from my perspective, appeared to be punched in the nose by Coach George Jackson. Jackson was screaming at Clements because he dribbled the ball after a steal. He grabbed his jersey with a closed fist, shook Clements back and forth, knocked him into the bench chairs, lifted the jersey to his face and knocked him the nose. The Administrative Assistant had to push on Jackson's shoulder to allow Clements to free himself. The team was only down two points and Clements had just regained possession of the ball for BG. His play nor any players' action on the court should ever warrant such an assault. Clements is a good kid and good team captain - not an emotional player. He wouldn't leave the game without just cause. I wish the AD couid review film footage from the game, he would see that it was not a player acting like a baby, but a coach out of control. What I saw from my seat warrants the suspension of Coach George Jackson. I hope anyone else there who truly witnessed the event will stand up on Clements.
Regardless of what was said, the reaction by Coach Jackson was UNREAL. I still can't believe what I saw. You must have better self control than that especially as a coach of a Division 1 basketball team. It's really sad if this whole situation comes back on Clements, because this was not just him involved here.

Coach Orr is trying to cover his friend's tail. There was contact and for Coach Orr to continue to imply that Clements was at fault and not Jackson is irresponsible and cowardly. Christian faith is just a farce without Christian action. This is not the first time that Coach Orr has turned a blind eye to Coach Jackson's explosive and harmful behavior. Jackson has a history of player abuse. Look into his past at Seton Hall and you will find out.

Seriously, why is everyone still making a big deal of this? The situation happened, DC is still on the team, and Coach Orr has the situation under control. If something terrible happened, I'm sure Greg Christopher would have taken action the day after the game if not that night.
Even when the team wins a game, instead of talking about that everyone needs to still find ways to criticize. Opinions are great, but when the same ones are repeated over-and-over from people who have no real sources, it starts to seem pointless.
Of everyone here, it's almost certain transfer had the best seat in the house when it comes to this incident. Unless you play on the basketball team or are spending quality time with someone on the team, it's probably best to listen to him and move on to another subject. For instance, the fact that our men's team has a winning record going into MAC play! GO FALCONS!

No conspiracy at all
It's pretty clear that DC was attacked by the coach, Seems that a certain former football coach had one of those in his past
.
Anyway, if anyone was to be suspended it wouldn't have been DC.
Picture it, if DC had popped the coach one, we'd still be talking about it.

This is NOT a good sign
If George Jackson was as explosive with his temper as has been said AND he put his hands on DC, then this is something that will not go away. Are these meltdowns something the team has had to endure for near 2 years now? These kinds of issues destroy programs. Can you blame DC for walking off? Kudos to him for not punching the S%^# out of Coach Jackson. Screaming is one thing [although a piss poor way to coach IMO], but actually getting into a physical altercation? PATHETIC!!
I hope Greg Christopher has met with Coach Orr AND Coach Jackson to review the universities related policies [and a refresher course on common sense]. Personally, IF this is true, I hope coach Jackson has received strike one and strike two....
I was in attendance during the Fordham game with my 6 year old son [his first Falcon game]. Thank God he [or I] didn't see any of this nonsense.

Thank you for the insinuation that I may be Darryl Clements. I needed a good laugh. However, I can assure you that if I were Darryl, I would have marched straight to the AD, rather than the locker room and I would not have returned to practice with George Jackson on the floor, but I would have nothing to lose - no scholarship at bay and final semester of playing college ball at my feet.
I am instead a two time alumnus of Bowling Green and a BGSU men's basketball fan. I was at the game, behind the bench in perfect view. Ignore the situation if you like, but I saw it, and I don't have the luxury of giving the benefit of doubt to Coach Orr and his staff. Perhaps our fellow poster is correct, we should move on - we're winning, why complain. But, I can't continue to support a coaching staff or athletic department that allows this type of abuse to occur with no consequence and with little attention to a student-athletes welfare. To lay a kid out to dry for a coach's reckless disregard for his athletes, his team and his institution is dirty. Shame on BGSU.
We can fire a coach for abandoning his attention to his athletes off field and classroom behaviors, but we will support a coach who, on court, in front of a public audience assaults his players. Where is the integrity in that? How does this illustrate character leadership? If you are going to clean house, make sure you take the vacuum to every room.
I'm done posting. Roll along.

How can we know what truly happened behind closed doors to address this situation? For all we know they both got an ass chewing by Orr and Christopher. I love this board, but sometimes we need to accept the fact they most of us do not know each and every detail about the innerworking of the BGSU athletic department. Those who do are careful not to put things out in the public that do not belong there. Let it go and trust that those who have influence in the department have made sure any wrongs have been righted.
