Is anyone else listening to this game? Good Grief. Terrible Start, then what a turn around. Those of you who were there, how shell shocked did Kent look towards the end of the first half with the 27-3 run?

Everyone hear the girl screaming in the gym all the time? I've seen that girl so many times and man, she never stops.
Sounds like BG has as many, if not more, fans there!
I have to go get Josh in 40 minutes at his scout meeting.
Kent nails a 3 at the buzzer but BG leads by 10 at the half, 45-35
GO FALCONS!!!

This was a big win to start off conference play. Anytime you can start MAC play with a W, especially one on the road against a premier conference opponent, that's huge.
Seems like shooting the lights out at the MAC Center is becoming quite a nice falcon tradition.

great game from start to finish minus the first 10 minutes or so! great game, great stats: 13-26 on 3-pointers, 12-13 on free throws, Jessica with 11 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, Prochaska with 4 threes and 20 points, Pontius with 5 threes and 17 points! what a game!
oh and Niz, yes - KSU's band leaves a lot to be desired. I hope you guys could hear us on the radio because we were literally right next to them. We had the most horrible position to call that game...
Great turnout by the Falcon faithful! Glad to see that many fans there considering the horrible weather...
12-2! 12 straight wins, 10 straight against KSU, 1-0 MAC! Keep it going! BEAT OU!!!

Game was great. Kent's got one heck of a nice stadium too...though most of it was completely empty...
Really exciting to watch because of how far we came back in the 1st half and how close it was in the 2nd half. It was cool sitting right behind the team and coaches too. A few scares throughout the game, especially the first 10 minutes or so, but BG always seemed to be one step ahead of Kent's efforts. Great 3 point shooting too!
BG's fans pretty much dominated the noise level for the majority of the game. Reminded me of the Akron game during Football season this year. We were shouting and stomping the bleachers and havin a ball. Kent fans didn't seem as excited to be there. Their band played a "Go -Insert name of school here-!" bit a few times and all you really heard was "GO BG!" since the Kent fans weren't doing anything.
On another note,
After the game an older spectator (who wasn't wearing identifiable colors for either school) came up to our group and told us not to hit the bleachers because it's bush-league and bulls***. Got in the face of a lot of Falcon Fans to tell them his thoughts, then presumably told them to "Get out of (his) face".
After he left we all just kinda laughed it off. The lady sitting behind us (who was a blast to sit by) put it bluntly, "It's a F***in Basketball Game!!!"
(she said that to us after he left...just to clarify)

I also love sitting behind the bench, its so entertaining, I have heard so many great lines from Curt and the other coaches, its always a ball when I get to sit behind the bench.
Much like the Dayton game, Kent had more fans, but they did nothing, sat on their hands all night.
Oh the old smelly guy after the game, that guy was a riot. The people who he was upset with were another group of students sitting to the left of me and my friends, who would stomp on the bleachers when Kent would shot foul shots, he found this to be "unsportsmenlike" Now while I wasn't one of the people doing the stomping I still stood up for my fellow students and fans by say we're college students, its what we do, as I saw nothing wrong with what they were doing. Well he didn't like this and he threaten to punch me in the face if on stomped on the bleachers right then and there. From what I heard I wasn't the only person he threaten, and I heard he also threaten one of our female fans, who might be the lady you were talking about Zig. Man that guy was a grade A nutcase, just another crazy character I have met through travels.
As for the game, I somehow forgot how intense MAC play was, should be another long and fun conference season though. Girls did great after Kent's early run. Great win, and lets do it again Saturday in Athens
