I'm dead serious, it's dyslexia.

Spring semester classes start on January 20 at Minnesota and Jacob Cepis is not currently listed in the student directory. I'm not saying anything here, just sharing information.

He's way too cocky and a puckhog, and those tactics didn't work in the CCHA and won't work in the WCHA! Obviously we saw this past semester what the real cepis is like without a key linemate.

He may do well in Minnesota with the many high caliber players, on the other hand he may not play much with all of the talent on the team!
You know, Cepis had a lot to learn about playing college hockey. But to call him "overrated" is a bit out of touch with reality. Last year, Cepis was having fun on the ice. It was very apparent when watching him play. This year he never looked like he was having any fun. And his numbers back that up. I don't believe the fun is the result of producing numbers. He definitely comes across as a player that produces when he's having fun. He will be one of the top scorers next season. I'm not so sure you're even gonna have to look at just the points per game column either. Oh, and I'm talking in the nation, not just in Minnesota.

Unless hockey has different transfer rules than the rest of the NCAA, I'll all but guarantee you're wrong.

Well then that's a hell of a second half of the season you're calling for, mister.

Ran across this while looking for Twins news. Not really a hockey fan, but I thought you guys would be interested. Some interesting things, but from reading this thread, nothing not expected.

At Bowling Green, Cepis and the head coach did not see eye to eye this season. “He was trying to make me not the player I wanted to be,” Cepis said. “I need to be happy, so I moved on my decision.”

Huh?

So Cepis' first game as a Gopher will be against BG in Dec. '09? That should be interesting!

Paluch was trying to change the way Cepis plays the game. Exactly what he was doing, I don't know. Only complaint I had against the kid was his tendency to hold onto the puck too long.

Dan Sexton is 15th in the nation with 25 points right now. Production tends to fall off in the second half of the season. I can see Cepis with at least 30 points in the WCHA next season. Plus he'll have Lucia guiding him.

Fun is a big thing, hockey, like other sports, is skills and talent plus mental skills, if you're having fun you're going to play harder and better, and get more points and scoring adds to fun so it becomes a cycle of fun lol. I'm not a Cepis fan so we'll agree to disagree on the overrated part. You are right about adapting to the college level of play. He hasn't as much as I'd like him to, he still tries to carry the puck end to end when he has opportunities to pass, and instead gets stripped of the puck. I think he'll be an average player at best in the WCHA, And if he doesn’t share the puck more he's going to get leveled!
