Next years squad should look drastically different

Post by Globetrotter »

34 of our 65 points a game will be graduating.

This year
1 Jakubowski 6-2 180 So. Brown 6-2 Fr.
2 Clements 6-4 200 Sr. Moten 6-4 190 Sr.
3 Miller 6-4 240 Sr. Thomas 6-6 Fr
4 Knight 6-7 210 R-So. Marschall 6-7 235 Jr.
5 Polk 6-9 280 Jr. Larson 6-9 245 Jr.

Next
1 Jakubowski 6-2 180 So. Brown 6-2 Fr. Kraus 6-2 185
2 Groves 6-4 200 JR. (RS) Goins 6-3 204 Jr.
3 Knight 6-7 210 R-So.Thomas 6-6 Fr Calhoun 6-7 Fr.
4 Marschall 6-7 235 Jr. McElroy 6-7 210
5 Polk 6-9 280 Jr. Larson 6-9 245 Jr. Madlock 6-8 200 So.

6 new faces next year, after Thomas and Brown this year and Jaku and Knight last year.

The scoring has to come from somewhere, I hope Marschall, Knight and Polk start putting it more in their hands this year.

Whoa.
I had to check a calendar for a second to make sure there was still a month and a half (or more!) left in THIS season.

Hey now TG, you have to let people rule the season out already! It's just habit for them all.

Don't be surprised if Darren Goodson signs with BG in the spring.

I have not ruled out the season at all. I was just looking at this years stats and noticed that our top three scorers and over 50% of our scoring will be gone next year.

As far as Goodson, another quick guard is good, but we need big men, and all 13 scholarships are accounted for for 2009...

if Madlock stays
if Goins gets a schollie

This squad looks like a good one. With depth at almost every position and some of the spots are interchangable. Goodson can also play the three, so can Graves. Thomas can play the two. Knight can also play both forwards spots. Any chance we go one over as far as schollies and sign the big kid D. J. Whetherspoon out of Columbus? This kid is 6'10" 240 pounds.
