murphdog, I am sure you love Falcon hockey like the rest of us. However, Kai coming out of the box and then ending back in the box 10 seconds later was a dumb penalty.

I totally agree it was a stupid penalty. I don't think it should have been called, but it was. The first one was deserved though. I just like that we have someone, anyone who is an intimidating presence. Early in this season, we were getting physically dominated, and Kai was one of the reasons we turned it around (to some extent). Our penalty kill has been pretty solid this season, so I guess I have been a little less concerned about our penalty minutes

In Kai's defense of the first penalty, the ref's arm was in the air before he even made contact with the other player.

I'll agree with you there, and from afar, he seems to be controlling it better this year (LSSU game aside, I suppose). He's finding the net a bit, too, which is nice.

I'm disappointed with the team's win-loss record, but I agree there are indeed some bright spots.
  • Svendsen's effort
    Boyd
Kantola's scoring (good to see he's not checking from behind, but he could do a little more hitting)
    Bailen
    Dee
Typically there are a couple of players I don't care to see on the ice, but there aren't any this season (maybe because Maxwell is gone  ) Finegan, Vargas, and Sinclair have not made an impression.

I prefer Eno, but Spratt had a great weekend against Michigan.

Finnegan showed me something this past weekend for the first time in his BGSU career.

Vargas and Sinclair haven't exactly been given a chance to make an impression with 2 games and 1 game played respectively. I really thought Sinclair might be something based on his junior stats but he never plays.

I've also been very happy with the play of Page. Very steady in his own end and now he has even scored a few goals.

Not even Krelove. I don't have a great eye for the game, but I don't notice him screwing up.
