Awesome game by Pontius but dang, no production by the bench. What happened there? Whew but we won though and that is what matters. Maybe this is the scare the ladies needed to re-focus for the rest of this season.

Miller made comments in the BG News this past week about how rebounding is the achilles heel of the team and that they really need to work on it in practice. He was 100% correct about that.

That was an amazing win though, down 6 with less than a minute to play and you manage to win?? That's impressive.

When you only use three bench players with minutes of 9, 5, and 5, you arent gonna have much bench production

It was even stranger being there in person. After Niki was fouled, missed the FT and NIU got the board and got fouled and looked at the scoreboard and see that NIU has 10 team fouls, meaning there should have been no rebounding of the missed foul shot or another foul cause Niki should get one more shot. I start pointing at the board and shouting that NIU has 10 team fouls, its double bonus, we get two shots, and my friend next to me starts as well. Curt looks over at us and then up at the board to see it and he starts yelling at the refs about it, and soon most of our fans are yelling the same thing. Appears the scorekeeper messed up and gave NIU an extra team foul by mistake. Curt was ceratinly not happy with that scorekeeper.

yeah, the referees were correct, as that was only NIU's 9th foul of the half, so the 1and1 was the right call. I can see why Miller was upset tho.

what was worse was with about 10 seconds left, after NIU missed their free throw and Lauren hit the ground to grab the rebound, miller yelled something like "get em off her" and the ref blew his whistle, thinking miller wanted a timeout. because of the inadvertant whistle, bg got the ball on the alternating possession. miller would've gone absolutely bonkers if NIU had the arrow.
