Here is one Ohio list of the Top 100, which many would say is about equivalant to the Michigan Top 50 , and BG has five of the top 100 and still in the running for others.

How did we miss on this guy?

Aaron Mershman QB BGHS

#37 in the Top 100 in Ohio. Did we even offer him? Maybe the kid was never interested in BG with GB and the helm anyway. Its kinda sad to not grab a kid who looks to be a potential stud from out own backyard.

Research is a terrible thing to waste.

BG offered and he chose BSU. I saw him play many times in HS. Good athlete, but I am not sure he is a QB at this level. I could see him ending up as a LB or S, but he may suprise.
Sometimes it is just nice to get away from home!

Interesting guy is Payne from Cleve. South HS...6'6", 240 range...supposedly has all kinds of offers, yet nothing has happened yet... Can't see us taking still another QB in this signing period, but you never know.

Also, many of these kids have verballed to places other than schools listed: the kid from Fostoria (?) has supposed committed to Iowa, not even listed as a possible on this site for example.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Steve Sanders from Cleveland South?

Sandman came from East Tech.

And, don't forget that we lost two to the "team up north", which would've given us SEVEN. But same old, same old. OSU locks the door on nearly all of the top 10-15...and it's been this way since Tressel took over, to his credit...but it sure hurts to see all that talent go to Columbus, and, for many of them, to sit and watch for several years. I know of the "prestige" factor, but if I were a kid, I'd like a chance to actually PLAY.
