FANTASY GAME: BG vs Northern Michigan series
FANTASY GAME: BG vs Northern Michigan series
From what I've heard, everybody had fun with this last weekend, so let's try again.
Here's how it works: You choose FIVE skaters (3 forwards and 2 Dmen) from EITHER team (that's right, YOUR team can contain ANY combination of BG and NMU players...but there has to be 3 forwards and 2 d's).
Both team's TOP THREE SCORERS ARE INNELIGIBLE! Nobody can use them
(Olver, Gustafsson & Hanson from NMU... Sexton, Svendson & Solway from BG).
You choose one set of FIVE for FRIDAY, and another set of FIVE for SATURDAY...and you can't use any of the same players on BOTH nights.
Any time one of your players earns a point (either a goal or an assist) you earn a point. Most points wins a SPECIAL PRIZE!
Results based on box scores as reported on USCHO, and all entries for BOTH nights need to be in before 6:30pm Friday.
IF YOU DON'T WANT OTHER PLAYERS TO SEE YOUR PICKS BEFORE THEY MAKE THEIRS, YOU CAN SEND THEM TO ME BY PRIVATE MESSAGE!
TIE-BREAKER #1 = Total goals, both teams for the entire series (NOT including shootout...FYI: Shootout goals DON'T count in the points contest, either.)
TIE-BREAKER #2 = Total PENALTY MINUTES for the series (both teams)
Have Fun, Go BG!

Do you mean McIntosh? I would think if somebody wants to pick a guy who hasn't scored a point all year they should be able to count him as both a forward and a defenseman.bgbill wrote:Fri:Kaunisto, Kantola, Florek, Cosgrove, Bailen

I think McIlrath is a forward, I assume you meant to ask about McIntosh.bgbill wrote:Fri:Kaunisto, Kantola, Florek, Cosgrove, Bailen

I'll allow McIntosh to be picked as EITHER a forward or defenseman, BUT if you pick him as a forward, ant points he scores while playing defense will NOT count, or if you take him as a defenseman any point he scores while playing as a forward will NOT count. I'll use the 'players on ice' from the detailed box score to make this judgment.

I noticed McIntosh playing some D last weekend, but it was hard to follow on TV. The Miami announcers didn't know most of our players names, and the camera angles made it tough to see the numbers. I guess we'll use the same dedal either way.bgbill wrote:McIlrath has been in as defenseman the last couple of games

Yeah, I went with a log of BG guys since I figure I know them better. I wouldn't be surprised if over half of the guys I picked on BG don't score a point the whole weekend though. There's a big drop off in scoring after the top 3 guys on each teamrood wrote:
