And what is your bi***ing and moaning going to do to help? Honestly, if you think its a problem then do SOMETHING about it.

this thread is Xtreme(ly) pointless... it has been stated over and over... what is complaining on here going to accomplish?

If I go to a game and watch it, I sit, yes that's right I sit and still support the team. I can tell you another individual who I believe supports this university very well from her bucket seat, and that is HockeySue... she doesn't have to stand and still suppports the team very much.

I watch, I clap and I yell when the situation calls for it... you are complaining to the wrong group of people... azz.com shouldn't be the ones bitched at... it should be the students and surrounding area that do not attend games... just sayin

i think the approximately 18 thousand forum topics on this subject is more than enough. Can we at least set up a new forum solely for complaining about attendance at basketball and football games?

As I was reading the original post in this here thread, I realized that there are two comments that bug me...
The first is that attendance has not really been an issue, keeping in mind when games have been played (ie over break when no students are on campus)
and the second being that since attendance hasn't really been an issue, who cares if there are only 7 people standing up? With only 7 people standing up, it makes it a lot easier for the rest of the fans who came to enjoy the game be able to watch the entire thing without having to stand up at all. A lot of the people who attend games are townies, and if you start to call out the people who spend their own hard-earned money to attend games, you are no better than when Greg Brandon did the same thing in my eyes.
As what other people have said, if you have a problem with this, then do something other than come onto AZZ.com and complain about it. Email the AD, hell send an email to President Cartwright if you think it'll help. Be active man!!
By the way, were you sitting when you typed this up? if you were then that means that you aren't spirited enough to actually do something about it!! :-D

As I recall Dustin is a rather young, passionate Falcon fan- maybe a little older than the Freaklings- I'd be glad to see more of that kind of passion among young Rocket fans (its there, but I'd always like to see more). That might be considered in some of the responses.

Yeah, you do always sit. You are the most un-spirited person at this school!

I sit at the games because I know I will look ridiculous if I am the only one standing in a crowd of people. i think I still look ridiculous though because I sing along with the songs, cheer and clap, unlike a large portion of the crowd. At the Ball State game, I saw someone sitting courtside with her back to the game talking to friends late in the second half, then leave with a minute and a half left when the outcome was still in doubt

Since i am not a student anymore I guess I will sit...
I stand 1) because I like being on the sideline cheering and 2) up until last year I was in the band and never was on the sideline, so i am making up lost time. haha.

I don't think anyone is a bigger fan for going to the games and standing or sitting.

Heck i been to all the home games and 4 away games so are this season and planning on going to every away game rest of the season. Drove 6 hrs one way to Illinois state for a 2 hr game then right back to BG...
Doing all that I don't think i'm a bigger fan or supporter then anyone. People are going to support the team how they please to do. Stand, Sit, lay, or lounge.
Yes it would be great to have more students and fans, but let's deal with what we have now. Yell louder and or stand taller... Just be the best falcon fan you can be with what we have.
Go Falcons!

Yeah vw, you really are pretty pathetic in your support for this university, at least you have been lately. I mean you used to be jumping around and throwing people and everything you were so excited. Lately you've just been sitting in the stands like one of us boring alums who don't do enough to support the team!
