2/4 Western Mi at BG 7pm

Post by FMBfan07 »

I have a feeling this should be a good game. Seems like it has been quite a while since we beat Western.
We are on a three game winning streak, I think the men will be ready for another W.

who's going? (and if you want to stand or sit that is ok)
what are you thoughts on this game?

Should be a good game. WMU is a decent team, from what I can tell, but we should be able to beat them at home.

Unfortunately I'll be working at a presentation/dinner at Stone Ridge Country Club, so won't be able to attend.

I don't think that we've beaten WMU since Larranaga was coach and the kids were running around doing the macarena.

I'll be there sitting! Until the National Anthem and some spurts where I feel standing is deemed ok. I think everyone knows I have high hopes for this team...I think we take another home win.

I'm really excited for this game. ANother win makes us 12-9 and 5-3 in MAC Play, I'll take that for sure considering our play in the middle of teh season. Hopefully we get a decent crowd for a mid-week game.

We're picking up steam, particularly on the road with 2 straight wins away. Now we need to keep it going by beating another West team at home. I don't remember the last time our men's team beat WMU, but they are down this year. If we're going to be contending in any way, shape, or form at the end of the season, this is a game we have to have.

I dont know about double figures. We can't really close out a game to save our lives. Every game we play will be interesting until the end.

BGSU is favored by 5 points tonight vs WMU. I'll think we'll win, but I feel uncomfortable trusting BG to cover ANY line bigger than 4 in this conference

NOTE: we were 7 point favorites vs Ball State last week.

ANOTHER NOTE: WMU's mascot looks like he's been spending some time in Snoop Dogg's green room...

If BG can limit turnovers and shoot the ball well, including free throws!(a major problem for BG this season that no one has discussed) than BG will win at home.

Accuscore, one of leading companies in predicting the outcomes of sporting events, based on over 10,000 simulations per game, has made their prediction:

BG averages winning by 7.7, wins 73.6% of the time, with a 45.7% chance of winning by 10 points or more. Projections have Nate Miller and Brian Moten in double digits, scoring 14 and 10.8 respectively. David Kool and Derek Drews of WMU projected to be in double digits as well, with 15.4 and 10.3 respectively. Spread is set at BG by 4.5, with BG covering the spread 61% of the time.

All good news so far...
