I am from Wisconsin. Trust me when I say Wisconsin is in the Midwest. Also, does anyone know if Paul Swan is related to former Wisconsin receiver Luke Swan? Because Luke Swan was one of my favorite players on the Badgers over the last few years, and I hope Paul is built from the same stockClass of 61 wrote:QB recruit is from California...had been rated 3 stars until he verballed to BG...then he became a two star...same old same old... As to getting most of our kids from the Midwest, I don't have a problem with it. You go after the best kids for your program... only concern I have is hitting Michigan too hard as I don't think Mich. FB is that good overall... but this was supposedly a real "UP" year for Michigan FB, and MSU and CMU certainly cleaned house in their home state...so we'll just have to wait and see.

Ohio football is head and shoulders above football in the rest of the "midwest". BG would be in great shape if they could sign even more Ohio kids.takeoffeh wrote:I think this is a good thing. I know there will always be people from Texas, Cali, and Florida saying that Midwest football is dying, but I don't believe it is. There are a lot of good high school football programs, that put out great athletes in the Midwest. From the looks of things, coach Clawson has put together a good coaching staff that will teach these boys to succeed on and off the field. He has a good athletic base to already work with, and I think these Midwestern boys will do nothing but contribute. From looking at these new recruits profiles, I'm excited. It's a good day to be a falcon!!

I don't know about related, but they're not brothers. Luke's bio on his website lists about four or five siblings, Paul's blurb on the BG site says he has one brother, a different hometown and different parents.murphdogg wrote:Also, does anyone know if Paul Swan is related to former Wisconsin receiver Luke Swan?

Just curious, what states do you consider the midwest?BGSUfalcons wrote:Ohio football is head and shoulders above football in the rest of the "midwest". I've always found the "midwest" label to be rather curious, and I think that states like Ohio and Michigan are better classified as "Great Lakes". Anyway, for the purposes of interpreting my claim above, you can include any state with a Big Ten team.tiznow wrote:Just curious, what states do you consider the midwest?BGSUfalcons wrote:Ohio football is head and shoulders above football in the rest of the "midwest".
