-Attendance at the 2003 GMAC Bowl was 40,620, just missing the five-year bowl record of 40,646. Television ratings have not yet been reported to the GMAC Bowl, but executive director Frank Modarelli said he expected it to be the highest rating ever.
Last year Louisville brought about 7500K and Miami-Ohio about 3500K.
The lady in Mobile's GMAC Ticket office said tickets were selling faster this year.
Looks like a sellout!

I hope you're correct. It's always more fun to attend a sell-out. The atmosphere just seems to be charged in a packed house. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're holding up our end of the bargain in BG for attendance. But my guess is that a lot of tickets are being sold regionally because this is exciting matchup where locals get a chance to see two college football's more exciting teams. As for TV ratings, my guess is a lot of people will be checking this one out, especially with all of the buzz about this being one of the better bowl games this bowl season. Can't wait to get to Mobile and "talk" with some of these Memphis fans.

I seem to remember the Mobile paper reporting that Louisville sold just 950 tickets directly from the university.MobileBama wrote:-Last year Louisville brought about 7500K and Miami-Ohio about 3500K.
Miami fans, meanwhile, claim they sold 6,000.
I specifically remember the Mobile paper's report.

Does anyone else think BG will have a better showing then what the Univeristy reports, I do, I think the alumni down south will just buy their tickets in Mobile since its pretty conveinent. Even though it's not right i'll take all the orange in the stands we can get.Schadenfreude wrote:I seem to remember the Mobile paper reporting that Louisville sold just 950 tickets directly from the university.MobileBama wrote:-Last year Louisville brought about 7500K and Miami-Ohio about 3500K.
