I think he is making an example of her by showing that the consequences are severe for people that break the law and the team rules, and that no one, no matter how good they are, is above the law

We talked about this at work yesterday about Devan Dumes from IU. "Suspended indefinitely" usually means "until I can figure out what to do", not necessarily the rest of the season.

Whether McCoy just made a very bad decision to get behind the wheel or "OMG! FELL OFF THE WAGON!!!!11!1!", there are a lot of personal responsibilities that come with a DUI no matter who you are and what the circumstances are surrounding it.

Personally, I'd bet anything that the suspension will last until she can get the personal (and legal) stuff dealt with first, then get her mind back onto focusing on basketball, be that next week, next month or next June.

But I'm not in the locker room, so what do I know?

That is true. Unfortunately, that really doesn't answer the question of when she'll be back.
Exactly. At the time there was no answer to the question. Now we know it's a 3-game suspension.

Which is the way it SHOULD be for every student/athlete on EVERY team at BG!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Apparently it wasn't the way it was for football. I think that's part of the reason Gregg Brandon got canned

It's tough to convince the BG residents that a felony drug conviction is the same class of offense as a misdemeanor alcohol or traffic offense.

Go figure.

Felony>Misdemeanor. Sure you can argue whether or not drug possession should be a felony, but thats not the point. The point is, a felony is ALWAYS more serious than a misdemeanor, just because of the nature of our criminal justice system

One could certainly argue that drunk driving is for more apt to result in the loss of life (or severe injury) than drug possession.
