Wow
First: The entire east lower bleacher is technically a general admission / student section. So there is a student section in Anderson Arena. Always has been. It's just not anywhere near as full as it was even just a few years ago. When I was in high school that entire section was filled with standing students.
As for making fun of students for standing and cheering and acting "crazy" during a game: be grateful that there is student attendance at all. Most schools in our league draw virtually no fans at women's games. And for the record, I would love to see far more of those "idiot kids" at games doing their best to support this fantastic team with positive energy and LOTS of noise.

We've said it before, but there is an actual student section in AA. The only problem (well maybe not problem) is that the Athletic Band is in that spot. There is at least one sign that we tend to "hide" that says "Student Section" or something like that. Maybe that should be moved to where the students stand now and you all would be happy about that then. As for DustinX...uh yeah...people will only post when and what they feel like it...don't bug people about it or all you'll end up getting is crap flown your way...bgsufalcon24 wrote:This is the type of problem that is caused by not having an actual STUDENT section at Anderson Arena.

For myself, I can project better sitting down than standing up. Sitting down or standing up just make it positive. Some people do go to watch the game and that's OK too. At least the space is occupied. Positive cheering is what is wanted by the team and coaching staff.

Sue, just keep doing what you are doing. I don't care if you want to lay down at the games, just keep leading the BG SU cheers like you have been doing for years, and, I am sure, will be doing for many more years to come.

Re: all i was saying in this topic
Let me set a few things straight...the high school students first of all are high school students...therefore not all of them may have wanted to be there in the first place which also means that they don't have to cheer for us or the opponent. I'm sure many of them were there to watch a good game of basketball and were blocked from that by those that decide to stand. I'm just wondering if any of them have thought any more about bg than they did before coming to the games because of that. Please think about things before you say 'em...you may find that you'll get a lot less crap thrown your way from some of these monkeys on hereDustinXtreme wrote:is that none of the HS students in attendance at both games
