Unfortunately I can say the same for most of my BG friends as well and that includes football. At least the OSU fans are passionate about one sport, we can't even get 20,000 people consistently to show up for a football game.
Fact remains...ask 80-90% of OSU fans to rate their hockey team and they'll say "What's hockey?". Besides, I'm passionate about EVERY BG sport. Maybe you should find some new friends? :-D

You obviously dont know that bg is a hockey school. Try going to a hockey game one time and tell me that we have bad fans.

P.S. I love that blank stare that they give when you tell them that you arent a fan of either osu nor michigan, as if they didnt know there were 119 other schools out there to cheer for.
There are a hell of a lot more than 119 more to cheer for - many of which actually play within a system that determines a champion on the field - go figure!

and in other news, Ohio State prospects have been floppin at the combine namely boone and the only osu player that i respect in jenkins. jenkins prolly cost himself a first round draft pick by running slow 4.6 and looking lathargic and uncoordinated in agility drills. kinda sucks for him because sadly i do respect jenkins game.

Just so you guys know, it is possible to love BG and Ohio State. :o

I hate it when I wear something OSU on campus and catch hell for it. Its people like this who make new freshman here not want to support BG.

Sure, I know im in BG. And I have plenty of BG gear that I wear and I go to almost all BG athletic events. But I also have pride in Ohio State. They were all I knew growing up, and not just football either. They are my roots. Who are you to take that away from me?

Be careful with talk like that. You'll get slammed for sure. Threads like this make BG look like a mid major school taking any and every shot it can at a bigger school. Yet those who love these threads cannot understand how it makes them look like they have Ohio State envy. If you don't like Ohio State then fine. But don't take every chance you have to tear them down. If we worried less about tearing down another school and more about building up BGSU then we would have TONS more school spirit then we have!

Can someone lock this thing up before our friend Tek comes back and it runs even more into the ridiculous and stupid than it already it??

Of course, as we all know by now (start flogging deceased equine now or I'll repost my 40 yard dash link for the hundredth time), a 4.6 forty yard dash is actually pretty much blistering. Only in the dream world of football is that considered slow

This is true, but thats how crazy the combine is. You can lose millions because of a fraction of a second. I for one think they should make these guys run in full pads and do all their agility drills in full pads, atleast it would be more accurate as to how they move on the field.

Hey BgWaRrIor, Not to be a jerk, but I also grew up loving OSU. Went to their football games with my dad every year growing up. He is an alum from OSU, so that's how we grew up. The small midwest farm town I'm from, you'd think everyone in that town of 4,900 people went to OSU, but they didn't. That's just how it was. But I had the opportunity, my senior year in high school, to attend the BGSU vs OSU football game. Never heard of BGSU until then. I thought BG would get killed. Sure, they lost the game, but they physically beat the heck out of that team. That's the day I got turned on to BG. So you get grief from fellow BG students when you walk through campus wearing OSU garb? Good. That means they have school pride. They are probably asking themselves where your school pride is. I'm not saying you shouldn't wear OSU stuff while in BG, but don't be surprised if you get heckled. I had the same result when I wore my BGSU stuff when I visited my friend at OSU. I didn't cry about it, I expected it to happen. I still root for OSU, as long as they're not playing BG, or another MAC school, or heck, I even root for Michigan, But beside that...GO BUCKS I guess.

BG, of course. They actually did play each other....6 years ago....and I wore my BG shirt around town all day. Sure I caught hell about it, but I was so proud of the way BG fought with the Bucks. It was a great day, and I was only 13 years old!!

TOE, I completely understand and believe me, Im not trying to sound like Im crying at all. Im merely trying to let people know that by heckling people about the clothes they wear, it really makes BG appear in a bad light. Especially when you dont know people's situations. What if the only coat someone owns is an Ohio State coat? What if they can't afford to buy a BG coat? Im just telling people to think before they speak (or start threads on AZZ for that matter).

We aught to respect OSU, after all they are one of the few 'BCS'/Major Conference schools who will play us consistently.

We get all pi$$ed off when people talk crap about us, but yet here we are doing exactly the same thing. I love BG, but im not going to stand by and let people tear down a school just because its popular. Let the flogging begin!!

If the only coat a kid ownes is one with an OSU logo on it, and they would rather have a BG one, I will buy it for them.

on the afternoon radio show here in here charlotte, they were discussing what would be the worst form of torture if you were locked in a room and forced to watch something all weekend and the choices were american idol, the nfl combine or anything big10, i loved it because most people were calling in and saying anything big10, haha
