Once again, free throws save our butts...along with some relatively insane 3 point shooting...

24-24 from the line as well. Wow.
Whitney Taylor at Kent State last year....she put on quite a 3 pt display. TP rocked it BiG time tonight.
24-24 from the line and they needed every one. Gusty win for #24 in a row as BG will get everyone's best shot every night.

Bring on Kent!!!! Sat at noon...AA...Fox Sports Ohio at noon.

Can somebody explain exactly what happened for those of us unable to see or hear the game?

We looked FLAT!

Post by Class of 61 »

I tuned in for the 2nd half; we looked flat...UB's press bothered the daylights out of us...used a lot of shot clock just to get the ball past mid court...thank GOD they don't have a 10sec. clock like the men...or we'd have lost today.

UB did a good job of stopping LP, but Tracy just went OFF in the OT.... I love watching the women on the bench as she lets it fly...they're all up and ready to high five the "make". And they saw plenty of those in the OT.

Enjoyed watching the Buffalo broadcast...naturally, they wanted UB to win, but were very complimentary of our women's FT shooting in particular...What else COULD they say? 24 for 24 with SEVEN different shooters! :D

Agreed about Pontius, this is the 2nd time she's come up big and saved us, the 1st time was at Northern Illinois, and now tonight.

With us shooting 3's and FT's so damn well, how in the world was this game so close? Either we got killed on the boards or turned it over a ton I would guess. Doesn't matter either way though, we've got #24 in hand.

What the hell was that? This team always has someone stepping up in crunch time, whether it was Uhl at NIU, or Ponitus with one of the most insane shooting displays I have ever seen. This is just so much fun to watch game after game. And 24-24 from the line? That is nearly beyond belief.

Did anyone else notice at the beginning of the game that the UB announcers thought McCoy was still suspended? It was freakin' hilarious when she checked into the game and they were completely dumbfounded, after they had spent three minutes talking about how big it was for her to be out for the game.

Tracey scored SEVENTEEN points in OVERTIME........FIVE three pointers, and two free throws. She made 3 in what seemed to be about 90 seconds.........

You'd never believe it.

UB tied the game late, Prochaska missed on a drive at the end of regulation. OT started harmlessly enough, until Pontius hit 5 threes in 2:19. One of which she started to drive from the wing, stopped, backed up about five feet and calmly nailed it.

BG iced it with FT's. McCoy finished with 16 and 10, as well.

What kind of numbers did Prochaska have? She seemed to have a pretty quiet game, but that is what I thought about the Akron game mid-way through the second half when I looked up and saw that she had 16 already at that point.

We didn't shoot them well until OT. We were shooting 33% from the field, then shot 7 of 8 in OT. We were about the same from 3 in regulation, then went 5 of 6.

UB killed us down low, and shot almost 50 percent from the field.

Kourtney Brown killed us down low, we had no answer for her.

Luckily for us Buffalo had no answer for Tracy in OT, Tracy Pontius is good at overtime
