I had the opportunity to see the new UA stadium driving to the JAR for the women's game on Saturday, and I have to say that is going to be an awesome facility - one that will set the tone for the MAC. Now, granted, there will be at least 10 meth labs within walking distance of it, but it is going to be a great facility.
Honestly, it reminds me quite a bit of the U. of Arizona's football stadium, but on a smaller scale. 'Zona's stadium is a great, great place to watch a football game, and I've no doubt that Infocision will be a great place to watch a game, as well. May the Zips have as much success as the Wildcats have had over the past decade!

I see the UA stadium project at least once a week....it will be a great facility.
But, according to the Akron Leakin Urinal, they are having problems selling season tix. The suites and loges are sold but not season tix...and there is a growing fear in the UA community it won't be finished in time for the opener this year.

UA's AD, MackRhoades, is one of the 3 finalists for the Rutgers job. There is a big fear he will be gone soon. So their Mojo may not be as strong as some think.

I have heard Terre Haute, Indiana and Iowa City, Iowa were the Meth capitals of the midwest.redskins4ever wrote:Actually... I used to work for a client in Hillsboro, Ohio and we stayed in Wilmington, Ohio. If you have ever been to Hillsboro, you could see why I stayed in Wilmington 30 minutes away.

Rutgers hired a former football player as AD, so Akron's still got Rhoades. For now. BTW - someone here probably knows. The Rhoades family seems to be pretty big at UA as I have seen that name on many facilities. Is this AD from the same family? If so, why would he leave the university that his family is apparently so close to?

The Rhodes for which the arena is named is four term Ohio governor, mayor of Columbus, and the guy that called out the Guard on the Kent State kids James A. You must've missed that in Ohio History.
