would like to be at least a 15 seed based on history, or maybe we can just go ahead and make history on our own!

Would you like some chapagna?
Or not in the tournament at all. C'mon guys, we've been over this.murphdogg wrote:16 seed? Ouch. Could be worse, we could be in the play-in game

Stop the presses! Joe Lunardi & ESPN has us as an NCAA TOURNAMENT TEAM!!! Talk about some serious, grade B crow for the haters out there. (grade A would be to actually get there). 16 seed or not I don't care, that's a big deal. It just shows what a tremendous Louis Orr, the coaching staff, and the players have done over the last month and a half or so.
GO BG! RANSACK THE REDHAWKS!!!

Not to mention, the play-in game means 1-3 games in Dayton.

We'd never make the play-in game. That's always reserved for, believe it or not, the conferences below the MAC...or for a team with a barely .500 record.
Also, the MAC tourney winner has never been a #16 seed as far as I can remember.
I would look for anywhere from a #13 to #15 seed for the MAC tourney winner this year.

No, the two play-in teams would be the worst teams in the tourney. See RWT's post, since I agree with that.Falcon137 wrote:I'm happy as you know what we are included in bracketology. But, being the 16 seed playing UConn (who is the overall #1 seed) would mean we are the worst team in the tourny? Sorry I just don't see that.
(Such a shame that Tom got his sensible post for the year out of the way so early...

Wouldn't we be the 3rd worst team in the tourny? I thought 64 and 65 are the play-in...Falcon137 wrote:I'm happy as you know what we are included in bracketology. 16 Seed is more a condemnation of the state of MAC basketball than anything else. Serious credit to Coach Orr for making lemonade this year! He and the team have shown a lot over the last six weeks and I for one questioned whether they could.
This is a back handed compliment, but with the state of the MAC this year we are the tallest midget...and I'll take it.
