There may be other faculty behind the 'coalition' but he is certainly the most visible. I couldn't begin to tell you who any of the others might be.
There will be much more Pro Stroh stuff going on beside the single Facebook group. Count on it.
I've absolutely no doubt that you will all band together and do a magnificent job. I am thrilled that you, in particular, are going to be a big part of the effort. I have grown to respect you and your opinions over the years, and I hope that there are more of your intellectual capacity involved in the effort.
Going forward, I think it would behoove you and your brethren to go after these faculty members. If anyone is responsible for disseminating misinformation, it is them. I doubt that you'll have many faculty on your side, but you will have the facts. Never discount them.
Indeed, push hard, real hard, for full disclosure as to what faculty are "advising" the group and push for them to make their views crystal clear. Indeed, why does a "grass roots" group require adults to chaperon the project? Why can't they form their own group and put their names to it collectively and publicly? Or are they choosing to hide behind the students to advance their personal agendas? Stinks to high-hell to me, I'd like to know what departments they are in, and what fund raising efforts those receive from Alumni, Development, or who, if any, have ever gotten comp tickets to the presidents box, events, etc. Tenor status, contract funding sources, etc, that might be nice to know too.
And it is a petty theme to some, but hammer DickiE3 on the OSU jersey issue. Even OSU fans will be more prone to back off, even if it annoys them that wearing that stuff is being taking to task. It is an example of clumsy, poorly considered thinking that somebody pushing something like this doesn't even think deep enough to maybe swap a photo out first.
