Seriously? This Team?

It would be very ironic if we broke our NCAA Tournament drout after 40+ years with this team.

Think of all the better teams with better players we've had come through our program.

I was a senior when OU broke our hearts on our own home court in 1982 after we had won the season title outright. Weinert had some very talented teams and that was as close as we could get.

I was working the first MAC tournament in Cleveland in 1999 when BG and MAC player-of-the-year Anthony Stacey came in and got bounced in the first game by Miami...and Grunkenmeyer. They changed the tournament seeding the next year so the number one seed could not be out of the running by 2 pm on the first day of the tournament.

A great player, and future NBA star, Antonio Daniels could not get this team over the hump and to the big dance.

McLeod and the 2002 BG team had maybe the best MAC team ever standing in thier way...Kent State.

Now we have this BG team with a shot at the big dance. Maybe the basketball gods are with this team?

I was going to post a link about this but you beat me to it Rollo83. If things go well in the MAC tourney I will add one. Do have some thoughts to share but I will wait and let it all play out.
