Which is correct, the bracket or the schedule?
The bracket says we play the winner of CMU/Akron, but the schedule says we play the winner of NIU/Buffalo. Which is it?

Bracket is correct. We have the winner of CMU/Akron. The CMU women are my second favorite team in the conference, since we have season tickets for them. I really hope the beat Akron. The CMU women have never one a MAC Tournament game at the Q. If they make it through it will be a really tough game to listen too on Friday. I know many of the CMU players personally and have had one of them in class. No matter who loses that game I think I will be heartsick.

I go with the bracket, since playing a 4/5 winner guarantees playing a lower seed if the 3 seed wins on the other side. Though I don't get how they divide stuff up between divisions like that.

According to Curt Miller's interview... we play the winner of Akron-CMU...He pointed out it's tough for us to prepare as these are two completely OPPOSITE styled teams, with CMU liking to run and gun, and Akron wanting to keep the tempo down.

Yeah CMU will run on you all game, and shoot the permimeter like crazy. If we play Toledo, I watched CMU absolutely shut them down with the press. That game wasn't anywhere near as close as the score indicated. If we get the rockettes at any point we just need to press for all we are worth.

I've wondered why we don't press more as it is. With our depth and athleticism, it seems like something we should roll with.michhiker28 wrote:Yeah CMU will run on you all game, and shoot the permimeter like crazy. Roll Along!
While I agree about pressing. Being by far the deepest, most talented, athletic team in the league it makes sense. My only gripe with this is...why in the world are we questioning Coach Miller!?Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I've wondered why we don't press more as it is. Not questioning him - just wondering what the reason is that keeps us from doing what looks like the logical thing.cph2133 wrote:While I agree about pressing. If that's not questioning, then stop wondering. What he does works. That's all we need to say about it.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Not questioning him - just wondering what the reason is that keeps us from doing what looks like the logical thing.
I didn't believe Mitch for a minute either til I checked ESPN...Buffalo 57, NIU 52. Wow...Buffalo is terrible!
