"Hockey is one of the sports we can compete on a national level. You look at the teams which have competed in the Frozen Four and we can compete with those teams. Hockey is very important, but we have to make it a priority and give them the resources to be successful." ~ Sentinel Tribune, March 2007

The Two Faces of our AD???
Redwingtom
Some of us have see those "two faces" up close and personal! It is nothing new.
Hockey is not the only program that is getting run into the ground because of lack of funding. It is time to get rid of the "cause", from the top down!
Most of us like to teach our kids to finish something they start. This administration, just "quits" rather than finding a solution. What about all of the property the university has bought in the past few years on Wooster, Thurstin etc. Didn't we just raise $141 million in a couple years.....it seems a little more could solve a lot of these problems. There have been hundreds of thousands of $$ diverted from one project to another because this admisnistration can't finish what they start, nor get done what needs to be done, without it being handed to them or much of the work being done by previous administrations..........i.e. Kerm Stroh, and I guess that isn't a sure thing now.
I find it interesting that other MAC and Ohio schools are getting plenty done, even under these tough economic time. To quote a famous coach, "Why not us, why not now?"
