I see La Salle [22-2] is playing lights out lately, just won their district.

Has any regular BG basketball game attendee also seen McElroy in person? I would be interested to know if you think he can get minutes next year as a frosh. What is his game like?
I look for big things from BG men's team next year. Have never seen any of the incoming guys play, but have a gut feeling we are in for a treat for the next few seasons....

I live in Cincy and I have seen him play on many occasions. I believe he can get playing time as a freshman because he is a monster on the boards. This young man is fearless and will bang with the best of them. Has good hands and loves being physical. The way out forwards got out rebounded this year in the inside; I see Danny cracking the rotation very early. Once he gets in here in the summer and he works with Coach Jackson and the big men, his transition to the college game will be a lot smoother. He will provide much depth behind Marschall and Larson so Chris can move to the 3 spot.
renorvis, Thanks. That sounds impressive. Hopefully he projects to those roles for BG.
I'm guilty of looking ahead to next year but can't help it....I'm really happy so far with what Orr is doing with the program.
If Graves and/or Goins can "bring it" like we've heard, I predict an even better squad next year than this....

Well I guess we both can share a jail cell. I am guilty as well.Hdog wrote:renorvis, Thanks. That sounds impressive. Hopefully he projects to those roles for BG.

LaSalle, McElroy in Regional Finals
La Salle (23-2) beat Centerville 42-37 tonight, advances to Regional Finals against No. 2 State Ranked Princeton (23-1)
see article:

My two favorite quotes:
"La Salle survived with its tenacious brand of GCL South defense, along with just enough offense to thwart the a physical Dayton-area team."
"McElroy scored seven fourth-quarter points to help send La Salle from a 31-28 deficit to a 36-32 lead with 3:10 left. Centerville could draw no closer than two points thereafter."
Can't wait to get McElroy on the floor at BG! He sounds like a winner, just what we need to become a consistent post-season program!

LaSalle, McElroy fall to Princeton
Sounds like it was quite a game [and taste of the future]:

This game featured [4] D-I basketball recruits:
McElroy = 2009 BG Falcon recruit
And, the following Princeton players:
6'4" Jordan Sibert = 2010 OSU Buckeye recruit
6'6" Marquis Horne = 2009 Ohio Bobcat recruit [FWIW, BG made offer]
6'5" Orlando Williams = 2009 Miami Redhawk recruit [BG made offer]
