Still sad since next year is my senior year :(

Good news for now. I have a lot of plans for next year about getting the world out and getting more butts in those seats. I postered the campus for saving hockey, I'll go out and poster it again for advertisements. Can't rely on marketing too much :) I'm also going to do programs hall-wide in Founders and, like usual, I will continue my streak of never missing a game while I've been here.

As true as that is, don't expect BG to vault to the top of the CCHA with Paluch in charge.

Well, at least they can't vault any lower.

Not if we finish 12th again it won't. Lost revenues and another chance for Cartwright and Co. to swoop in and kill off the program sounds pretty darn expensive to me.

SP is a moot point at this juncture. It seems very clear the program was all but cut until these past few days, and I doubt the feeling about that has changed on-high.

And the team wouldn't turn about so totally as to make a new coach a cure-all anyway.

So it becomes a matter of fans having to look at this as a time of just buying season tickets, even if they don't show, and backing the public effort to rebuild the program.

At this stage we are looking at a total ground-up reconstruction of hockey, as if we were starting new.

Regardless, SP seems clearly on his final months as a hockey coach at BGSU. Either the program is cut and he is out of a job, or it survives and he gets "not-renewed" moving forward. Either way, he is a lame duck.

Humor in that aside, no. But I know he has his defenders, and they would say he should stay, that all the issues were related to a bad arena, fan support, etc. Not true, but it will get said.

In my book, a TOP 4 might garner a 2 year extension. But a lot depends on what happens during the games themselves. And off ice events as well. Just winning is not enough.
