Why "ouch"? Many have been overrated because of where they play...that being said, the PD showed that most of them IMPROVED on their prior times, especially Wells.
Of course they improved on their prior times. OSU is widely considered to be one of the fastest tracks in the country. NFL scouts typically add .1-.15 to any 40 time that is run at OSU. I don't put a lot of stock in 40s anyways, but at OSU they really lose validity.
I'm not trying to be a clown, but how is a track fast? Isn't 40 yards 40 yards? I understand the difference between running on turf v grass v sand.

Are the watches of the OSU crew a little quick or something? I've never heard that, but I also don't look too much into 40 times nor I care where they run them. Just interested to hear why their track is faster.

Some tracks, and some track surfaces, yield consistently faster times than other surfaces. Not a matter of timers because it happens even with electronic timing.

Back in the seventies BG had a state of the art surface put down and it was supposed to be one of the fastest tracks in the country at the time. I don't have any documentation about how it actually turned out but it was very springy and I know it was a joy to jump off the surface. My HJ PR was at BG on that surface. Also much easier on the knees thn harder surfaces.

Just wanted to echo my agreement with this statement. Also, if you can understand how there is a difference between running on "turf v. grass v. sand," then it probably isn't much of a stretch to imagine that different track surfaces (and even different consistencies in the same type of surface, something that is bound to happen dependent on weather that day or at the time the track was laid and all sorts of other factors) can yield some pretty varying times.

Rocky and Apollo Creed ran in sand then had a splash date in the water afterwards.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I was known to occasionally rock a half t-shirt back in the 80's. That right there would have to be the gayest fashion tragedy of the previous millenium

That site doesn't list BG. Will it be a late addition like Western Michigan* and McNeese State*?
BG is listed under the Schedule part, on 3/12. But there are no results posted yet, it would seem.
Did nobody show up to our pro day or something? There isn't anything listed yet, and our pro day was supposed to happen 11 days ago.
ROLL ALONG!!!
