Bands at MAC Tourney
So, the 110 was not at the OU game yesterday... apparently they've had budget issues this year and their president would not pay to send them to Cleveland... CMU is here, they're in the same hotel with us. I met a few of them at breakfast.

on a side note, I'm glad CMU played all of the Bon Jovi songs so we didn't have to haha...
anybody else notice that they really only had one trumpet and the rest kind of didn't play at all
Thriller was pretty cool though

Do you have any idea where they will be seated? I presume they may be right beside the BGSU athletic band??

For the benefit of others, since I told you on the phone today...last year, Dayton brought their band to AA for the NIT game. They were placed next to our band in the South end bleachers, and it seemed to work out pretty well. Thinking about it today, I seem to remember some good-natured banter between the two bands, which was fun to watch during the slow spots in the game. I also remember Dayton's band having a ridiculous number of hats. It's the Journey... wrote:Do you have any idea where they will be seated? I presume they may be right beside the BGSU athletic band??

I thought that was coolBleeding Orange wrote:For the benefit of others, since I told you on the phone today...last year, Dayton brought their band to AA for the NIT game. I think we played a song together too though I can't remember what it was... there was a good natured banter going back and forth as well. it was a fun time. they had a lot of good energy and I presume that at the Dayton Arena they're pretty entertaining.Strouse wrote:I think I remember hearing that as well from fellow band geeks...although I don't remember how it went...FMBfan07 wrote:didn't the two bands last year play a song together? And yeah, they did have a whole bunch of hats which they switched at nearly every media timeout
