Post by sbkbghockey »

I've seen some posts on other college hockey boards that our cluster for the 09-10 season is with Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State?

That should be our cluster:

08/09 it was ND, NMU, Lake
07/08 it was ND, WMU, Ferris
06/07 it was ND, UNO, Alaska
05/06 it was ND, OSU, Miami
BGSU c/o 2009 & 2013

On the bright side, any extra home dates with that group (esp. if MSU rights the ship) brings in outside revenue.

But yeah...ouch!

Yeah I was thinking about that after I made the post. With the scare we had/have about the program's future, the extra attendance ($$) from playing these big teams will be a nice.

Notre Dame should be a very good team once again and Michigan is another powerhouse (although we came super close to a sweep this past season). MSU will be interesting, they could bounce back and be towards the top of the CCHA or still be lower with a younger team.

Another positive is hopefully BG can get some more wins against these top teams, which would help the teams' confidence and also boost our rankings.
