Sentinel is also quoting the 25% figure as coming from Miller:

I think we can take them without her...but it won't be easy!

I'm pretty sure they just pulled that number out of their ass
Well the BG News this morning made it sound like Curt gave them that number. Who knows really. As coach said "plan for the worst, hope for the best".....
Either way, there's no way you can actually tell. It all depends on how LP feels on gameday (a.k.a. tomorrow)

The fact that we're talking about any percentage at all is encouraging. Even if Lauren can't go Thursday (or beyond!) that the nature of the injury still even allows a chance of her playing this week is great news for Lauren and her future on the basketball court.

GET WELL SOON AND GO BG!!!

the encouraging news

Post by fleuryfan »

as heartbreaking as it was to see her writhe in pain on sunday, it's encouraging to see on the video in the foxtoledo report (posted earlier) that she can at least walk around with no noticeable limp, that she's back on the court shooting, at the very least. the chances still don't look good though, for her to come back and play, at least for thursday.

This team is deep enough to compete with most teams. On our home court, our odds are even great! Whether or not Lauren can go, her leadership is still needed. Indiana is going to have it's hands full with our Falcons! Let's go Coach Miller and hoopsters!

If LP doesn't play, we still have the advantage, because we have a 6th man, IU doesn't. If she can't go, we'll just have to cheer extra-loud to make up for it

This is very true. Someone earlier noted that IU has played in front of large crowds on the road, but I would be willing to bet that those crowds were in the cavernous arenas in the Big 10. I doubt they have ever seen a crowd of a few thousand right on top of them, and in a building so loud outside of AA.

If we are really going to have 500+ students at this game (judging from the number of free tickets that were available), then there is going to be a very, very large crowd tomorrow. In Anderson, that is an unbelievable advantage over any team.

I hope it's a repeat of what happened the last time they paid us a visit.

Oh, that would be awesome. The attendance for that game was 1,927. I think that number will be considerably larger tomorrow, and that very well could be the difference in the outcome. IU is a better team than they were a few years ago, but we are still as good as ever, and the fans are even better.

The support that this program gets truly is amazing.

Lauren likely out, per Toledo Blade. Prolly the right move IMHO as I think the others will rally and get it done!
