I voted, but it probably won't count. It says you have to be an undergraduate in order to vote. It took my vote, but we'll see if it's counted.

I think it's a load of crap. Is the fee only going to be applied to undergrads, or does the university not care about grad students? I won't be here to pay the fee regardless, but if I was, I would protest any measure to tack on a fee to grad students if we weren't allowed to vote in this.

That being said, I voted NO because BGSU most definitely needs this building, and alternate funding may be almost impossible to come by.

Going East to West across BG, we should hear from Copper Beach and Campbell Hill first, before the biggies of Harshman and Kriescher come in. A very large part of our base is there, and hopefully we'll have a large lead in the electoral count before the petitioner strongholds of Founders and Offenhauer come in later. Hopefully the Enclave can be the x-factor swing apartment complex that will help us throw the hammadown on the opposition.

Apparently the graduates will be charged the $60/semester also...Here's an article in the BG News specifically about the graduate issue on it. I guess the issue with the graduates is that you guys are too busy with actual life to worry about something such as this.

The issue in terms of grad student voting is probably the fact that this vote is a referendum on USG legislation. Graduate students have their own representative body (GSS), and if they want to have a say in the matter under the current governing structure, GSS would have to be the starting point.

I forgot about the GSS, but wouldn't the GSS have had to vote on the $60/semester issue also if the Grads will have to pay for it? I'm obviously not too knowledgable when it comes to...well...anything government/politically related...

It sounds like there just wasn't a whole lot of interest expressed amongst grad students for voicing an opinion one way or the other. That isn't to say that GSS still couldn't vote (as a body) on support for the Stroh Center, and that may be something that you and the other graduate students might want to think about approaching GSS with, depending up the outcome of today's vote.

Since the polls opened at midnight and are open for 24 hours does that mean we have to wait until Monday to learn the outcome?? I would hope not but i'm sure that will be the case.

Since the wife is an undergrad, she just voted no. Hope we find out soon.
