No, I didn't think they would at all. Just pointing out an oddity simply because I'm bored. And I don't think I've ever seen a removable scoreboard (to my knowledge), but I suppose that isn't out of the realm of possibilities.Metz wrote:I don't know if we are supposed to take that serious Matt. You really think they will build an arena without a scoreboard? Maybe it'll be removable since the events shown are not sporting events.

The AA scoreboard has caster wheels on the bottom...I'm guessing it's removable if somebody wanted to take the time to do soBleeding Orange wrote:No, I didn't think they would at all. No matter what, I just want to be able to walk into this beautiful new building, like tomorrow. They can't throw this thing up fast enough for me.

That's what I've always heard...anyone confirm this?Dayons_Den wrote: And as to the Anderson Arena scoreboard, the Urban Legend I was told was that after Nick Miletti moved the Cavs to Richfield he gave BGSU the old Cleveland Arena scoreboard, but I've never confirmed this. . .

Everything I know says it was from the Cleveland Arena. It was pretty nice back in the day... I remember they'd put first half statistics in the message area at half time... then it got stuck on "buy a brick" or something like that and that message board never worked again. When that scoreboard is down on the floor for maintenance, it's HUGE!doughash wrote:Dayons_Den wrote: And as to the Anderson Arena scoreboard, the Urban Legend I was told was that after Nick Miletti moved the Cavs to Richfield he gave BGSU the old Cleveland Arena scoreboard, but I've never confirmed this. . .
I'm almost certain that the current AA scoreboard actually came from the Richfield Coliseum back in the early 80's when the Cavs got a new one. Maybe one of the other old-timers can confirm this.
