Who ever could have thought AirForce over MI, dont get me wrong AirForce is very good, but not that good, MI must have looked past them and at the way wrong time.
Air Force has almost played spoiler the last two years, this year they finally did it. Last year they took Miami to OT and I believe they almost knocked off another high seed the year before.

One word...... Goaltender......

Michigan out played and out shot AF, but could not figure out AF goalie.

Miami, is taking it to DU, 2-0 after one.

Miami should be up 5-0... not just 3-0...

I hope this doesn't bite us later.

yea with out a question AF goalie is awesome, and for MI not having had a chance to play them before clearly worked in favor of AF....Im happy for AF, I like AF hockey and its great to have a Service academy doing so well every year.
loosing Mi in the hunt for the 4 hurts, so its good the redskins are playing well right now, I hope they close out tonight and keep on rolling.

I was happy to see Air Force win. Any time an underdog gets through it's more exciting. I can't say I'm shocked about the outcome of this one, either.

This is the coolest upset since Holy Cross sent Minnesota packing in 2006.

It's disappointing to see JCrew U take down Denver, at least for me anyway. Then again, I guess the more CCHA teams that advance the better. Denver just didn't seem to want it as bad.

As for Michigan, I don't know why they can never seem to get it done in the tournament. Last year Billy Sauer laid an egg in the first pd. of the national semifinals and this year they ran into a hot goalie.

not sure how the money sharing works... but if its like the basketball tournament... I'd zip my lips and smile and thank the rest of the CCHA for all the extra cash!

It would be very ironic that 25 years after a team named the Falcons won the National Championship, another team with that name wins it.

Sorry, but you're on a BG message board. We can dislike whoever we want for whatever reason we find  . I'll probably never smile when I see a Miami team win a game, and I have several friends who go to school there.

Minnesota-Duluth jujst pulled off the come from behind OT win to earn a game against Miami tomorrow.

Air Force - Vermont is the other matchup that came from today's games.

Seems being #1 seed wasnt good today... wonder how that bodes for BU and Notre Dame. (hopefully they'll get upset as well, although I'm rooting for North Dakota to oust BU, as I cant bring myself to root for Ohio State).

Just finished watching the Princeton-UMDuluth match. Moral of the story ... never give up. UMD was down 4-2 in the last 40 seconds and came back to win in OT. I was sort of pulling for the Tigers, but have to give UMD credit for doing what had to be done. Should be a good match-up with the Redhawks tomorrow.

Speaking of 25th anniversary parallels....

I have no real rooting interest in college hockey outside BG, so UMD meeting the Falcons sounds good to me.

What a great game today b/w UNH and N. Dakota. I thought the Sioux had that one in the bag.

Wow, Ohio St. sucks.
