Findlay Oilers(36-0) Division II National Champs!

Post by bgsukid »

Wow, what a game! Some senior from Circleville hits the game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in OT to win it 55-52 for the Oilers, his only field goal of the game! Oilers finish 36-0, the best record ever in Division II history. Great day for Findlay and for basketball in the state of Ohio!

I actually work for the University of Findlay so this is especially exciting for me to be a part of. And it was Tyler Evans who hit that shot, a senior who was a three-year starter before this season and when he lost his job to a sophomore. He was still one of the team captains and a leader for the team so it couldn't have happened to a better player....congrats UF

That is very impressive. Congrats to the Oilers. I just hope that somehow, someway, that school can get hockey back as a Varsity sport.

Agreed. Findlay's a good hockey town.
