ESPN poll

Check out the ESPN/USA today poll, someone voted for all 3 teams at #1, as USC, OU, and AU all have 1/3 of a first place vote.

I believe it was JoPa that did that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is what I heard. However, I think someone will correct me for something else, too.

if anyone would have done it, I'm sure is was JoePA. He probably looked at the ballott,or whatever it is and his eye glasses showed triple vision and he didn't know the difference....

Chances are it was not JoePa, but the Penn State Sports Information Director.

The last I heard was that Wash. St. head coach Bill Doba was the only one to go public with his vote and not JoePa. Doba voted USC No. 1, Oklahoma No. 2 and Auburn No. 3. So as to who made the one-third split vote, it still remains a mystery.

Doba also pointed out why coaches and universities are reluctant to go public with their votes.

"I think it could create some great rivalries and dissension and all that kind of stuff: 'Here's a guy that voted us 20th, and we get a chance to play them,' " Doba said.

You don't want to give your opponents added incentive against your team.

i think all of thier votes should be public knowledge. How do we know these coachs are not rating their teams higher then they shoud? As for Paterno I would not be suprised that he would vote 1/3. His team in 94 was one of the best teams in the last 25 years and they finished #2.
