NWLB, I love that attitude! If we go from 300 to a "couple of thousand" sesaon ticket holders, I will absoutely know that BG hockey fans have seriously stepped up.

I mean seriously.

Let's do it.

Go Falcons!

Indeed.

Not to push on this topic though, but we need to show some more signs of life at the Save BG Hockey site. It is getting hits from on campus, and it is a good focal point to help whip a frenzy up with. So much of the talk and chat does get done among people in person offline. But we need to keep things stoked up.

Hummm
I'm imagining Jack withDr. Cartwright, Ed Whipple and Steve Kampf.
I wonder what Jack could do with a flying broomstick and some electrical cord. Oh ! Add Sidney to the equation, he is the one that started all these problems.
Just kidding :-)

Go Falcons!
THAT IS OUR PLAN!! We are just waiting on the ticket office to get the form so we can get started!!!! I'm sure they are working out the details of the ticket plan right now. As soon as we get the form, we are going to hit the streets and get as many people and businesses to buy tickets! I have been told by many people that they had given up their tickets in the past, but will buy them again for next year! Also some have told me they are going to add seats to their current order!! We hope to get businesses to buy blocks of tickets too, When they cannot use them, we are hoping they set up a donation program of some kind with the elementary schools or local youth groups. This will bring new people to the games!!

ROLL ALONG & SAVE FALCON HOCKEY!!!!

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I've never bought season tickets before and probably will only be able to use half of them if I'm lucky but I'm buying two for next year.

Will the ticket office automatically send out forms to people who have bought single game tickets?

The only problem I have is, why hasn't the athletic department been doing something like this for the past 5+ years?
I too, used to have hockey season tickets, and currently have mens and womens basketball as well as football season tickets and have NEVER even received a mailing in the past 5-10 years for hockey season tickets or even single game tickets that I can remember. Maybe it has been done, but I sure don't remember receiving anything and certainly not a phone call. Seems that is part of marketings job to me.

This past season, it looks like they started at $161 for the "general public". Employees, retirees and recent students can get 'em for a little cheaper.

We should try to think of something constructive to do with tickets people can't use.

I'm all for folks passing them along, but we also don't want to create a massive glut of tickets that stifles walk-up purchases and such. In a town like BG, if we were to sell 3000 season packs, you know that can happen.

That said, we also want people to show.

We could create an informal exchange on SaveBGhockey.com, simply for folks to aid in connecting tickets with people who need an extra, or with groups who might like to bring a bunch if they can swing the tickets.

The BG Hockey program got a mention on The Hockey News' website, albeit for all the wrong reasons. Ken Campbell wrote an article about college hockey and the balance of power in recruiting that favors the bigger schools. It's a pretty good read, http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/2 ... -task.html

How about get people with season tix they can't use to donate them to local youth teams? It goes to a good cause, will help get people excited about hockey, and I'm pretty sure it would be tax-deductible if the right stuff was done
