I kinda figrued Orr would be on the radar screen.... this is no surprise to me; I wouldnt be shocked if we are looking for a new coach in a few days.... Maybe coach Stone finally gets his chance.

We're safe. It will be either Mack or the dude from Butler.

I think Coach Orr would be a longshot for this position. Most of their recent hires have been young guys on their way up. I'm guessing either Chris Mack or Brad Stevens gets it.

Xavier would have to throw a lot of money at Stevens he has a heck of a team not only next year but the next couple years.

I'm also not sure Mack gets it, Xavier has a Final 4 quality team next year, do they really want to risk their best chance at their first Final 4 on a guy who has never been a head coach?

I think Brad Brownell is the best candidate. That guy is a great coach and if you give him Xavier's players they could be a legit National Championship contender.

Xavier is a Catholic institution IIRC...the rumor floating around Seton Hall at the time of Orr's dismissal from there was that the Catholic hierarchy wasn't entirely comfortable with Coach's Orr's evangelical background.....religion could be a factor.

I guess that rules out all of the Druids and Quakers.

I think that's a real intelligent approach. Discount the abillities of a great head coach because he talks to a different invisible man than someone else.

If God cared about basketball, Notre Dame wouldn't have sucked so badly this season.

I don't think Coach Orr will be selected because I think they are looking for a coach with tournament experience. Coach Orr has been great here so far, but without a tourney appearance, I doubt he will move up the coaching ladder

He made the tourney several times at Seton Hall.
